Making Royal Wootton Bassett a Dementia Friendly Town

We have received the following message from Linda Frost, Chair of Caring about Dementia group:

(Members if you would like to attend the meeting please let us know at hello@rwbchamber.org.uk, thank you).

“As part of our work towards making Royal Wootton Bassett become a Dementia Friendly town we would like to introduce “Safe Places” to businesses in our town.

We would like to invite you to a meeting at  6.00 pm on the 13th April at Tinkers Lane Drs Surgery where a member of Wiltshire Safe Places will explain about this in more detail. This should take about 30 minutes.

A Safe Place is somewhere that will display a logo so that a person knows where they can go if they are feeling confused, distressed, upset or unwell.

Safe Places are offered by people who care about those in their community and would like to be able to help anyone who needs support.

We hope that a member/s of your Chamber would like to come along and then share this information with other businesses.

It would be appreciated if you could let me know if you will be attending”.

With thanks,

Linda Frost, Chair of Caring about Dementia group
