Business Information Support is a funded programme and networking opportunity for all small business owners who are based in Swindon and Wiltshire. These events will be a chance to discuss common growing pains small businesses face, how to overcome them, and how Outset Swindon and Wiltshire plans to support you going forward.

Outset is a programme designed to help you explore self-employment as an exciting option, whether you are looking to build and grow a company, become a sole trader, or go freelance. We can help by giving you the knowledge and skills on how to progress in running a successful business.

The events take place at The Enterprise Network centres in Corsham, Salisbury and Trowbridge, and sessions can be booked on Eventbrite. When you arrive you will be asked to complete an Outset programme enrolment form which gives you access to all the support on offer.

The support is fully funded through the European Regional Development Fund and is completely free.

It’s important to regularly check in with your teams and share tips on ways to relax.

The last two years have been tough in one way or another for most businesses and business leaders. Despite this many have displayed amazing innovation and resilience to emerge from the pandemic in good shape to continue to serve their customers and provide a livelihood and secure future for their staff.

These awards will be somewhat different from pre-pandemic awards. Some categories will focus specifically on the achievements of many businesses in responding to the particular challenges faced by us all over the last two years, as well as those which will face us in the coming years. Examples include working towards a lower carbon economy and having a positive impact on our communities.

Entries close on 19 April.

A range of government programmes are available for employers considering hiring employees, offering work experience or upskilling existing staff, some of which offer financial incentives.
