Guidance on shielding and protecting people who are clinically extremely vulnerable from COVID-19

Everyone in England is required to follow the new National Restrictions from 5 November (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/new-national-restrictions-from-5-november) , which have been set out by the government and apply to the whole population. These restrictions:
* require people to stay at home, except for specific purposes
* prevent people gathering with those they do not live with, except for specific purposes
* close certain businesses and venues

This guidance is for everyone in England who has been identified as clinically extremely vulnerable (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/guidance-on-shielding-and-protecting-extremely-vulnerable-persons-from-covid-19/guidance-on-shielding-and-protecting-extremely-vulnerable-persons-from-covid-19#cev) . If you are in this group, you will previously have received a letter from the NHS or from your GP telling you this. You may have been advised to shield in the past.

The council’s Wiltshire Wellbeing Hub is still available should anyone need any support, advice or guidance. People can call the hub on 0300 003 4576 or email wellbeinghub@wiltshire.gov.uk (mailto:wellbeinghub@wiltshire.gov.uk) Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
